’tis the season to be jolie

The holiday season is here! And who says holiday season says holiday parties – which leads to today’s topic – the perfect holiday outfit.

Here’s my advice – buy a cute cocktail dress, pull those killer heels out of your closet, and party like its 2006. Wait. That would be too easy. Lets think outside the box a little, shall we?

Here’s the key element to a great holiday outfit (and every other outfit for that matter) – accessorizing. Don’t be afraid to mix textures, patterns, colors and wear big chunky bold jewelry.

This chic minimalist outfit from Zara’s Evening Collection is the perfect blank canvas to get you started; a simple velvet frock blazer (199,00$) paired with a black cigarette pant.

Aldo’s Baisley Peep-toe pump (80,00$)- What’s more festive than burgundy velvet? Nothing. These shoes add a much needed pop of color to the outfit.

3.1. Phillip Lim Organza and Leather Necklace (275,00$) – You can never go wrong with a chunky necklace –  make sure it doesn’t overpower the rest of the ensemble.

Juicy Couture Flower Ring (78$ 54,60$) – Find a big cocktail ring, and don’t worry about it matching the rest of the outfit perfectly – it’ll make it more interesting.

Michael Kors Golden Oversized Runway Watch (250,oo$) – This ultimate oversized boyfriend watch will make P. Diddy jealous give an edge to the look.

Zara Buck Skin Clutch (99,90$) – Leopard print. Enough said.

Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Boom Pow Nail Lacquer (20$) – Add a touch of luxury to your fingertips – this holiday nail lacquer contains 24K gold dust. Why not?

MAC lipstick ‘Dark Side’ (14,50$) – Finalize the look with a deep burgundy lipstick, and voilà!

Now you can party like its (almost) 2011!!!
